When producing a Camtasia project you normally need to use the marking function. Marks are like bookmarks in a book. They can provide navigation points for notes, website hyperlinks, or references to the table of contents. Add a Marker to a saved Camtasia studio project

1 Place the playhead on the timeline.

2 Select Edit from the File menu at the top and click "Add a Marker".

3 Type the name of the marker in the Marker box dialog box and click "OK". Camtasia Studio will now place a marker on your video recording project.

Add markers while live recording

4 Start recording the live video.

Add a marker while recording by pressing "CTRL + M" or by clicking the "Add Marker" button on the live recording toolbar at the top of the screen.

6 Enter a name when the Marker Name dialog box appears and click "OK".
